The “Dr. Joseph Warren & Capt. George C. & Teri Wildrick Scholarship” was established by the Dr. Joseph Warren Foundation (DJWF) to help honor the legacy of Dr. Joseph Warren & Capt. George C. Wildrick. Capt. Wildrick was the fifth-great grandson of Dr. Joseph Warren, a physician & hero of the Revolutionary War who was born in Roxbury, MA in 1741 & killed at the Battle of Bunker Hill in Charlestown, MA in 1775.

Capt. Wildrick was a West Point graduate who served his country with honor, following in the footsteps of generations of Dr. Joseph Warren descendants. A core belief championed & supported by Capt. & Mrs. Wildrick is that every student should have access to higher education.

This year (2022) we offered four (4) scholarships each in the amount of $500 for a new student matriculated into a degree program. at a 2- or 4-year college. The scholarship is non-renewable. The applications will be evaluated on the following criteria.

Two scholarships were awarded to students at the John D. O'Bryant School of Mathematics & Science part of Boston Public Schools, one scholarship was awarded to a student at Lake George Junior/ Senior High (part of Warren County, NY) and one scholarship was awarded to a student at Warren County Public Schools in Warren County PA.  Our goal is to award scholarships in each county named for Dr. Warren.
